It
is wonderful to have skilled and trustworthy
people to turn to in emergencies, and Nathan
Hood is one of those people. When a precious
family photograph was damaged recently, Mr.
Hood came to my rescue, artfully repairing the
photo and returning it less than two days later
--all at a very fair price. I am amazed at how
beautiful the finished product is, and I would
not hesitate to call upon Nathan in the future
to work his magic on any of my treasured photos. |

brand identity and image is a key to successful
marketing, I approached Nathan Hood to propose
to us a new corporate image. After a face-to-face
interview, Nathan familiarized himself with our
product features, our corporate mission, and the
image we wanted to portray to our customers. Within 1 week, Nathan presented me preliminary sketches. The entire design suggested strength, craftsmanship, and professionalism. It was also extremely versatile. Needless to say, our entire management team was impressed and immediately approved Nathan's first sketch and his supporting explanation. Image Implementation, Follow Up, & Problem Solving: Nathan provided immediate response via email and voice to help implement our new image. He demonstrated his extensive experience in the printing industry by providing us the right file formats and even creatively laid out our new business card to market our products. An outdoor sign company could not read our file formats, so Nathan immediately researched and solved the file format compatibility issue within 24 hours. Nate first approached me with his idea for a new
logo for our company, I was a bit hesitant. "We
already have a logo. And logos just aren't that
important." But after I saw how great the
finished product looked, we decided to completely
redesign our website around the new logo and adopt

has worked with Creative Edge Graphics as a designer/technician.
While occupying this position the following task
were completed: layout and design, file preprint
preparation, print management, hardware/software
management, digital photography, and customer
relations.
Nathan
has a very good understanding of the Macintosh
operating system as well as desktop publishing
applications, including, Photoshop, Illustrator,
Flexi-sign, Freehand, Microsoft Word, Suitcase,
Dreamweaver. He has the ability to learn new
things quickly and understands function of systems.
Nathan has an excellent work ethic and is very
reliable. He did an excellent job while with
us and I would highly recommend him for a similar
position. |

What
if you found a copy of a picture of your Dad that
was taken 80 years ago and it was very small.
( too small to frame ) what would you do? Now
I know -- I have a copy of a picture of my Dad
and 5 brothers that was taken in the state of
Nebraska about 1923. I sent it to Nathan Hood
Imageworks --- I received back several large pictures,

| Nathan
is very creative and will create designs based
on your individual business. This is a must! You
can't have someone that only works with one style
where all the work they do comes out looking the
same. On our website are pictures of our products, namely candles. Nathan suggested that the pictures would look so much more professional with burning candles. I agreed, but did not want to burn 90 candles for a few minutes just to get pictures. I wouldn't be able to sell those candles after burning them. Nathan took my existing pictures and modified them so that there are now flames on my candles. Along with those he worked a burning candle into our existing logo with a flame that actually flickers. | Having
good tools doesn't necessarily make someone good.
Owning a top of the line synthesizer doesn't make
one a great musician. How often do we see people
using fantastic equipment but achieving less than
standard work? Nathan Hood has an eye and a mind
for detail. I've been very impressed with his
work, especially his Photoshop work. Here's a
tool that can do amazing things, but as I said
before, the person using it has to understand
its capabilities and how best to apply them. He
just seems to know how to make something look
right. Good touch-up work needs to be subtle,
and he does that. Then there is the more artistic
project that needs to have some stylish flare,
and he knows how to do that too. If you want your
graphic project to turn out the way you dream

| Nathan
was able to synthesize our business concepts into
an entire visual campaign. Even though he was
the creative mastermind behind the magic, he always
insisted upon our input. He e-mailed us daily
with new designs and interesting possibilities.
The result was a multi-visual approach designed
to saturate the community with our identity and
newly designed image. He created graphics for
our storefront windows, sidewalk sandwich sign,
truck, trailer, and business cards. When he finished the project, Nathan gave us a CD-ROM with all the computer graphics saved in a variety of formats. Nathan also offered us extra vinyl graphics with our name and logo for no additional charge. We even contacted Nathan months later to assist us with a special magazine layout. Last
summer, when told that I wanted to restore some
old photos for a family reunion project, my
cousin introduced me to Nathan Hood Imageworks.
Nathan’s ideas were fresh, fun and inspired!
He took an 80+ year-old picture of my great
granduncle that had been faded and vanishing
before my eyes and colorized and restored it
to a condition that far exceeded my highest
expectations. Nathan then designed a logo and
theme around the old photo that we used for
publicity and fund-raising for the reunion.
Nathan not only restored my photos and created
wonderful, marketable artwork, but he went the
extra mile by helping me deal with a third party
t-shirt printer on some color problems that
the printer caused. The level of attention and
care that Nathan Hood Imageworks provides is
incredible. Nathan treated my family project
